At Dulcimer we work hard to maintain the standards that our customers have become used to regarding the selection, stilling, rotation and presentation of our cask ales. We have recently received the Cask Marque Certificate of Excellence in recognition of our efforts with Real Ale. We try our best to find and support the best in micro-breweries from the four corners of  the British Isles, supporting the small brewer in their tireless quests for originality and perfection. Featured below are a few of our eclectic favourites.
Regular Cask Real Ale…


Original (Thwaites Brewery) 3.6% - A light, amber ale. Very moreish.

Mild (Thwaites Brewery) 3.3 %- Maybe the best in the world, light but ‘charcoaly’.

Bomber (Thwaites Brewery) 4.4%- Slightly stronger and more complex fruit and nuttiness.

Wainwright (Thwaites Brewery) 4.1%- Bestselling creamy masterpiece, a hit across the board.

Fraoch (Heather Ale) 4.1% - The oldest ale in the world brewed with heather, a real one off !

Umbel Magna (Nethergate Brewery) 5.0% – Delicious porter with light Coriander aroma.

Dark Side Of The Moose (Purple Moose Brewery) 4.6% - Peerless 2007 dark-ruby award-winner.

Honey Fayre (Bragdy Conwy Brewery) 4.5% - Highly quaffable honey-tinged ale.

Firefly Bitter (O’Hanlon’s Brewing Co) 3.7% -Yeasty, hoppy and earthy from a thoroughbred stable!

Cleopatra (Derventio Brewery) 5.0% - A touch of apricot, gold and luxuriant.

Five Leaves Left (Oakham Ales) 4.5% – Softly fruity with nice hops/yeast balance.

Spring Promise (Spectrum Brewery) 4.5% -Celebrating the coming spring! Mid-brown and mellow.
